It was announced today that “Confine”, featuring Daisy’s first major film role, will premiere at Raindance Film Festival on the 29th September, and is nominated for Best UK Feature! More information is available here including a synopsis, but still no trailer yet.

British model Daisy Lowe is to take the lead in London thriller Confine, alongside Alfie Allen and Inkheart actress Eliza Bennett. The film has been written and will be directed by Tobias Tobbell.

Tobias Tobbell, who produced the 2010 feature The Drummond Will, has written the script and will direct the film about a former model (Lowe) who has become agrophobic and is held hostage by a sociopath who embroils her boyfriend into the plan.

Shooting begins in early February. The film is being produced by Tobbell’s production company Two Bells Productions and Emily Corcoran of Cork Films. The film has secured a number of product placement deals, including with Rymans, Apple and Asahi Beer.

Daisy continues her reign over men’s magazines this year with her second Esquire UK cover (there is a seperate subscriber cover, but I prefer the normal one!). The issue is out on Wednesday and I’ll add the rest of the pictures as soon as I get them!

Sony Ericsson has enlisted the help of style icon, Daisy Lowe, and cult celebrity photographer, Ben Rayner to celebrate the launch of its HD smartphone, the Xperia Ray. The manufacturer today (14 September) announced its partnership with media company, Vice to produce Xperia Unseen, a series of short films that offers consumers a rare insight into the daily life of a celebrity.

The first Xperia Unseen film will premiere on Sony Ericsson’s Facebook page and VICE.com on the 14 September. It will follow by part two on 28 September and part three on 12 October.
